Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Upper Oak Creek 11 x 14 in. framed 16 x 19 in. by Fremont F. Ellis was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,940.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fremont F. Ellis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Summer - Santa Fe, New Mexico in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Upper Oak Creek 11 x 14 in. framed 16 x 19 in. von Fremont F. Ellis kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.940,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fremont F. Ellis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Summer - Santa Fe, New Mexico im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 72.101,97).
