Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Shadows on Adobe by Fremont F. Ellis. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,785.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fremont F. Ellis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Summer - Santa Fe, New Mexico in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).

Im September 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shadows on Adobe von Fremont F. Ellis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.785,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fremont F. Ellis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Summer - Santa Fe, New Mexico im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 72.101,97).
