Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Logging sledge in a winter landscape by Frederick Simpson Coburn. The price achieved of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,290.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500.00 – 5,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Simpson Coburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chatting On The Logging Trail in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 129,000.00 (€ 92,622.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Logging sledge in a winter landscape von Frederick Simpson Coburn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.290,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.500,00 – 5.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Simpson Coburn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chatting On The Logging Trail im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 129.000,00 (€ 92.622,29).
