A top price for Frederick Simpson Coburn
In May 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Chatting On The Logging Trail by Frederick Simpson Coburn. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 129,000.00 (€ 92,622.29), 43% above the upper estimate. With this result, Chatting On The Logging Trail is even the most expensive work of art by Frederick Simpson Coburn that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chatting On The Logging Trail von Frederick Simpson Coburn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 129.000,00 (€ 92.622,29) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Chatting On The Logging Trail sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Frederick Simpson Coburn, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
