In May 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Chatting On The Logging Trail by Frederick Simpson Coburn. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 129,000.00 (€ 92,622.29), 43% above the upper estimate. With this result, Chatting On The Logging Trail is even the most expensive work of art by Frederick Simpson Coburn that we have observed at auctions so far.
