Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Logging Through The Woods by Frederick Simpson Coburn was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2011. It achieved a price of CAD 30,000.00 (€ 21,862.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Frederick Simpson Coburn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chatting On The Logging Trail in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 129,000.00 (€ 92,622.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Logging Through The Woods von Frederick Simpson Coburn wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CAD 30.000,00 (€ 21.862,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Simpson Coburn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chatting On The Logging Trail im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 129.000,00 (€ 92.622,29).
