Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Winter Scene by Frederick Simpson Coburn. The price achieved of CAD 12,000.00 (€ 9,287.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Simpson Coburn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chatting On The Logging Trail in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 129,000.00 (€ 92,622.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter Scene von Frederick Simpson Coburn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 12.000,00 (€ 9.287,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Simpson Coburn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chatting On The Logging Trail im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 129.000,00 (€ 92.622,29).
