Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frederick Henry Stonham achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work L'Grasse, France sold for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,638.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Henry Stonham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reflections, which sold at auction in January 2006 for GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,673.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Henry Stonham erzielte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wurde die Arbeit L'Grasse, France für GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.638,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Henry Stonham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reflections beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.673,63) versteigert wurde.
