This artwork by Frederick Henry Stonham achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Suburbia sold for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,286.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Henry Stonham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reflections in January 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,673.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Henry Stonham erzielte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wurde die Arbeit Suburbia für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.286,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Henry Stonham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reflections im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.673,63).
