The work The nativity by Frederick Henry Stonham was worth GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,387.14) to a buyer in January 2006. This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 900.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frederick Henry Stonham; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Reflections sold at auction in January 2006 with the realized price of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,673.63).
