Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederick Henry Stonham could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Portrait of Mrs June Stonham, full-length, in a pink ball-gown, with flowers beyond changed hands for GBP 600.00 (€ 879.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Henry Stonham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reflections in January 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,673.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Henry Stonham konnte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of Mrs June Stonham, full-length, in a pink ball-gown, with flowers beyond für GBP 600,00 (€ 879,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Henry Stonham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reflections im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.673,63).
