The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,582.96), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Frederick Henry Stonham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reflections in January 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,673.63).

Die Arbeit Stonham Garden, Hartley, Kent von Frederick Henry Stonham wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.582,96) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Henry Stonham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reflections im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.673,63).
