Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work „St. Bartholomew the Great, South Side Chancel“, Smithfield. by Frederick H. Evans for EUR 625.00. This price was achieved in the auction Herbst 2019 - Photographie at Grisebach and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick H. Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'A Sea Of Steps', Wells Cathedral, Steps To Chapter House, 1903 in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 233,000.00 (€ 171,399.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit „St. Bartholomew the Great, South Side Chancel“, Smithfield. von Frederick H. Evans für EUR 625,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Herbst 2019 - Photographie bei Grisebach erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick H. Evans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'A Sea Of Steps', Wells Cathedral, Steps To Chapter House, 1903 im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 233.000,00 (€ 171.399,15).
