In November 2019 Grisebach held the auction Herbst 2019 - Photographie, which included the work „Borrowdale“. by Frederick H. Evans. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,750.00 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick H. Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'A Sea Of Steps', Wells Cathedral, Steps To Chapter House, 1903 in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 233,000.00 (€ 171,399.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Grisebach die Auktion Herbst 2019 - Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit „Borrowdale“. von Frederick H. Evans zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.750,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick H. Evans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'A Sea Of Steps', Wells Cathedral, Steps To Chapter House, 1903 im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 233.000,00 (€ 171.399,15).
