Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Ten Photographs' by Frederick H. Evans was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,692.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick H. Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'A Sea Of Steps', Wells Cathedral, Steps To Chapter House, 1903 in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 233,000.00 (€ 171,399.15).
