Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Ruins At Baalbek by Frederic Church for USD 956,000.00 (€ 857,476.01). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Frederic Church have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Valley Of Santa Isabel, New Granada in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,026,250.00 (€ 4,306,983.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ruins At Baalbek von Frederic Church für USD 956.000,00 (€ 857.476,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederic Church auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Valley Of Santa Isabel, New Granada im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.026.250,00 (€ 4.306.983,72).
