Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fred Carasso could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction, the work Pastore Sardo changed hands for NLG 4,700.00 (€ 2,259.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of NLG 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Carasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A nude sitting in December 2001 with an auction result of EUR 25,850.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fred Carasso konnte im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART wechselte die Arbeit Pastore Sardo für NLG 4.700,00 (€ 2.259,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Carasso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A nude sitting im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.850,00.
