Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th Century Art, which included the work Schrijdende vrouw by Fred Carasso. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Carasso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A nude sitting, which sold at auction in December 2001 for EUR 25,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Schrijdende vrouw von Fred Carasso zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.600,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Carasso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A nude sitting beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für EUR 25.850,00 versteigert wurde.
