Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Seated nude by Fred Carasso. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 11,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Carasso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A nude sitting, which sold at auction in December 2001 for EUR 25,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated nude von Fred Carasso zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 11.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Carasso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A nude sitting beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für EUR 25.850,00 versteigert wurde.
