Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seated nude by Fred Carasso was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fred Carasso have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A nude sitting in December 2001 with an auction result of EUR 25,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seated nude von Fred Carasso wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fred Carasso auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A nude sitting im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.850,00.
