It achieved a price of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 50,639.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz West achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 871,500.00 (€ 775,631.90).

Die Arbeit Flucht im Stechschritt (Der Fluch des Eros) (Goose Step Escape (The Curse of Eros)) von Franz West kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 50.639,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz West erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 871.500,00 (€ 775.631,90).
