A top price for Franz West
In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included this untitled work by Franz West. Here, the upper estimate of USD 800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 871,500.00 (€ 775,631.90). With this result, this work without title is even the most expensive work of art by Franz West that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Franz West zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 871.500,00 (€ 775.631,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist dieses Werk ohne Titel sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Franz West, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
