Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Phillips in 17 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included the work "Privat Lampe des Kunstlers II" floor lamp by Franz West. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,715.00 (€ 5,186.03). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz West achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 871,500.00 (€ 775,631.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 17 - die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Privat Lampe des Kunstlers II" floor lamp von Franz West zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.715,00 (€ 5.186,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz West erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 871.500,00 (€ 775.631,90).
