Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Sheep And Poultry At The Pond by François van Severdonck. The price achieved of GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,446.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François van Severdonck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 9,250.00.
