Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by François van Severdonck could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century Art auction, the work A family of sheep changed hands for USD 1,725.00 (€ 1,801.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by François van Severdonck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 9,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von François van Severdonck konnte im März 2000 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century Art wechselte die Arbeit A family of sheep für USD 1.725,00 (€ 1.801,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François van Severdonck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.250,00.
