Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2000 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Franz Priking for USD 1,725.00 (€ 1,788.86). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Priking - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life of fruit on a table, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,306.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2000 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Franz Priking für USD 1.725,00 (€ 1.788,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Priking mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life of fruit on a table beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 5.760,00 (€ 4.306,86) versteigert wurde.
