Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Franz Priking could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 1,725.00 (€ 1,788.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Priking - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life of fruit on a table, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,306.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Franz Priking konnte im Februar 2000 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.725,00 (€ 1.788,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Priking mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life of fruit on a table beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 5.760,00 (€ 4.306,86) versteigert wurde.
