It achieved a price of USD 8,200.00 (€ 7,040.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. Admittedly, works by Frank William Cuprien have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Opalescence in August this year with an auction result of USD 51,200.00 (€ 47,236.83).

Die Arbeit When Day is Done von Frank William Cuprien wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.200,00 (€ 7.040,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank William Cuprien auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Opalescence im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.200,00 (€ 47.236,83).
