Sold at the upper estimate price
In February 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Modern Visions: Exceptional Photographs, which included the work The Pears, 1930 by François Kollar. The auction ended at the price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,520.79), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Kollar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View from the Transporter Bridge, Marseille, which sold at auction in October 2017 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,877.75).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Modern Visions: Exceptional Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Pears, 1930 von François Kollar zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.520,79) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von François Kollar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View from the Transporter Bridge, Marseille beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.877,75) versteigert wurde.
