Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Important European Collection, which included the work Inondations' by François Kollar. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Kollar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View from the Transporter Bridge, Marseille in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,877.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Important European Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Inondations' von François Kollar zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Kollar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View from the Transporter Bridge, Marseille im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.877,75).
