In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Constructivo Petrus by Francisco Matto. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,420.00 (€ 18,391.00), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Matto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Constructivo en rojo y azul, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27).

Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Constructivo Petrus von Francisco Matto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.420,00 (€ 18.391,00) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Matto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Constructivo en rojo y azul beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27) versteigert wurde.
