In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online, which included the work Constructivo (Madera Roja) by Francisco Matto. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,924.59), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Matto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Constructivo en rojo y azul, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27).

Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Constructivo (Madera Roja) von Francisco Matto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.924,59) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Matto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Constructivo en rojo y azul beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27) versteigert wurde.
