Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francisco Matto could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online auction, the work Constructivo Azul changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,033.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francisco Matto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Constructivo en rojo y azul in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francisco Matto konnte im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online wechselte die Arbeit Constructivo Azul für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.033,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Matto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Constructivo en rojo y azul im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27).
