In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Divine Contemplation by Francisco Masriera y Manovens. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,762.95), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Masriera y Manovens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La marchande de mode, 1894 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 144,250.00.

Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Divine Contemplation von Francisco Masriera y Manovens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.762,95) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Masriera y Manovens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La marchande de mode, 1894 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.250,00.
