Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish teatime by Francisco Masriera y Manovens was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,153.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Masriera y Manovens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La marchande de mode, 1894 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 144,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spanish teatime von Francisco Masriera y Manovens wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.153,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Masriera y Manovens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La marchande de mode, 1894 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.250,00.
