In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision, which included the work Descansando En La Sombra (Resting In The Shade) by Francisco Masriera y Manovens. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,752.91), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Francisco Masriera y Manovens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La marchande de mode, 1894 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 144,250.00.

Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit Descansando En La Sombra (Resting In The Shade) von Francisco Masriera y Manovens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.752,91) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Masriera y Manovens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La marchande de mode, 1894 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.250,00.
