The work La marchande de mode, 1894 by Francisco Masriera y Manovens was sold in the The Spanish Sale, The Westin Palace Hotel, Madrid auction at Christies in Madrid in October 2007. The price achieved of EUR 144,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, La marchande de mode, 1894 is the most expensive artwork by Francisco Masriera y Manovens that we have observed at auctions so far.
