In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Quillan Collection of Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Photographs, which included the work 'The Pyramids Of Sakkárah, From The North East' by Francis Frith. The »bidding war« ended at USD 51,400.00 (€ 33,016.44), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Francis Frith; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Egypt, Palestine & Nubia sold at auction in May 2004 with the realized price of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 46,616.44).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 33.016,44) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
