A top price for Francis Frith - as previously expected
The work Egypt, Palestine & Nubia by Francis Frith was sold in the PHOTOGRAPHS auction at Christies in London in May 2004. The price achieved of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 46,616.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Egypt, Palestine & Nubia is the most expensive artwork by Francis Frith that we have observed at auctions so far.
