The work Cottage With Paths by Francis Davison was sold in the The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 auction at Sothebys in London in November 2010. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,273.74), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Francis Davison; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled 9-9 (Fawn, White, Red And Green) sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,709.36).

Die Arbeit Cottage With Paths von Francis Davison wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.273,74) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Francis Davison; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled 9-9 (Fawn, White, Red And Green) im November 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.709,36).
