Despite a disappointment, a good price for Francesco Salviati
In January 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Madonna And Child by Francesco Salviati for USD 312,500.00 (€ 281,709.19). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Madonna And Child is the most expensive artwork by Francesco Salviati that we have observed at auction so far.
