This work of art by Francesco Salviati could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work Portrait Of A Man, Half Length, Standing Before A Curtain changed hands for USD 46,875.00 (€ 35,839.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesco Salviati have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna And Child in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 281,709.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francesco Salviati konnte im Februar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man, Half Length, Standing Before A Curtain für USD 46.875,00 (€ 35.839,90) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00.
