Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper, which included the work A Reclining River God Facing Left, And Lifting A Cloth With His Right Hand by Francesco Salviati. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 139,480.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Salviati - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Madonna And Child, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 312,500.00 (€ 281,709.19).

Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Reclining River God Facing Left, And Lifting A Cloth With His Right Hand von Francesco Salviati zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 139.480,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Salviati mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Madonna And Child beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für USD 312.500,00 (€ 281.709,19) versteigert wurde.
