Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Christ Carrying The Cross by Francesco Salviati was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 32,938.01). Admittedly, works by Francesco Salviati have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna And Child in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 281,709.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Christ Carrying The Cross von Francesco Salviati im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 32.938,01) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Salviati auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madonna And Child im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 281.709,19).
