Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt, which included the work Standing Female Figure In Roman Costume by Francesco Salviati. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,607.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Salviati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madonna And Child in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 281,709.19).
