The »bidding war« ended at EUR 125,000.00 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Salviati - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Madonna And Child, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 312,500.00 (€ 281,709.19).
