Upper estimate price exceeded by 41 %.
In May 2021 Christies in Paris held the auction Collection Marion Lambert, which included the work N 390.1, New York, 1979-1980 by Francesca Woodman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 56,250.00 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesca Woodman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polka Dots, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 200,000.00 (€ 179,291.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Collection Marion Lambert durch, in der auch die Arbeit N 390.1, New York, 1979-1980 von Francesca Woodman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 56.250,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesca Woodman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Polka Dots beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für USD 200.000,00 (€ 179.291,80) versteigert wurde.
