Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Untitled, Rome (l. 132)", 1977/78 by Francesca Woodman was sold in the Böttiger Collection H067 auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in October this year. It changed hands for a price of SEK 38,000.00 (€ 3,218.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesca Woodman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Polka Dots in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 179,291.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "Untitled, Rome (l. 132)", 1977/78 von Francesca Woodman wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Böttiger Collection H067 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von SEK 38.000,00 (€ 3.218,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesca Woodman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Polka Dots im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 179.291,80).
