This work of art by Ford Madox Brown could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Standing Nude Seen From Behind changed hands for USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,029.11) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ford Madox Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Last Of England in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 206,850.00 (€ 297,552.61).
