This artwork by Ford Madox Brown achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2018. In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Elijah And The Widow sold for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 182,198.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ford Madox Brown; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Last Of England sold at auction in November 2004 with the realized price of GBP 206,850.00 (€ 297,552.61).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ford Madox Brown erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit Elijah And The Widow für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 182.198,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00.
