Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Harbor Scene by Fern Coppedge for USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,767.16). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fern Coppedge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Village Hillside in June 2016 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,298.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Harbor Scene von Fern Coppedge für USD 14.400,00 (€ 10.767,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fern Coppedge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Village Hillside im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 147.298,77).
